What is accepted as a form of Government ID?

You must provide at least ONE of the following forms of identification for your CalFresh Application 

 

Illustration of Driver's License
Illustration of Birth Certificate
Illustration of Passport
Illustration of ID Card

Driver's License

Birth Certificate

Passport

State Issued Identification Card 

How should I submit this document?

  • Online: You can take a picture of your ID as a .jpg or .png file, or scan your ID as a .pdf file and upload it to BenefitsCal.com
  • Mail: Scan and print your ID. Please do not send the original physical document to the county.
