Link your case
Before you can check the case status, you need to link the CalFresh case to your account.
- After login, you can find "Link a Case to Your Account"
- Enter your Date of Birth and Zip Code as prompted and select a way to find your case
Check the status of your case
You can check the most recent case status for CalFresh from your dashboard in BenefitsCal.
Understanding the status of your case
Approved | Your case has been approved and you should be receiving your benefits for the month. |
Pending | The county is still processing your case. It could take up to 30 days for the county to process all the documents you submitted. |
Discontinued | Your case has been discussed due to a missing document or a missing renewal form. |
Denied | Your case has been denied. The county will send additional letters and notices to you to explain why your case has been denied. |
Inactive |
Your case has expired and it's time for you to reapply. |
