Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center

Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met. The Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center helps by providing access to nutritious food, assistance applying for CalFresh and other social services, access to economic crisis resources, case management, and immediate shelter and support for unhoused students. 

Vision
Ongoing basic needs justice for all UC Davis students no matter who they are or where they come from.

Mission
Provide equitable programming and access to resources today, advocate for policy, systems and environmental change tomorrow.

FOOD RESOURCES

  • AggieEats Food Truck 

    • Stop by the pay-what-you-can food truck Monday - Friday, starting at 11:00 am and pick up a healthy meal! Visit our AggieEats webpage for schedule and location info. 
  • AggieFresh

    • AggieFresh is a supplemental nutrition program similar to CalFresh that provides up to $292 a month for groceries and restaurant meals to eligible students who cannot meet the CalFresh citizenship and/or student exemption requirement. 
  • CalFresh

    • CalFresh awards students up to $292 per month for groceries! Fill out our CalFresh Intake Form to see if you qualify.
  • Fruit & Veggie Up! 

    • Fall Quarter Schedule:
      • Wednesdays 1:30PM to 3:30PM at the Aggie Compass
      • Fridays 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the East Quad, next to the Aggie Eats Food Truck
    • Fruit & Veggie Up! provides FREE produce for UC Davis students. Stop by and pick up seasonal, fresh, organic produce!
  • Memorial Union Community Freedge

    •  The MU Freedge has moved to a new outdoor location! The new site is between the ASUCD Pantry and the UC Davis Store entrance. 
    •  The Freedge is open to whole produce, canned goods, toiletries, and non-perishable individually wrapped items. If you would not eat it, do not donate it! 
    •  The Freedge is a community resource where anyone can donate acceptable food items. Aggie Compass does not take responsibility for any foodborne illness that may be transferred from consuming the food in the Freedge. Consume at your own risk.
