Bio

Julia Holland serves as the Basic Needs Center Coordinator at The Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center, where they oversee operations and ensure the smooth functioning of daily activities. Since November 2022, Julia has been instrumental in coordinating operations, mentoring interns, and managing a range of essential services for students, staff, and faculty.

Julia's journey into basic needs and food security began during their undergraduate studies in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of California, Davis (2022). They discovered the concepts of food security and insecurity, which resonated deeply with their own experiences.

As a queer staff member, Julia brings a unique perspective and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment at UC Davis. They are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, community development, and social activism among their peers.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys playing Cookie Run Kingdom and Magic: The Gathering with their partner, as well as spending time with their 13-year-old cat named Taffy, affectionately known as Taffy Momo.
