Jeni serves as the CalFresh Coordinator for Aggie Compass. Jeni is a first generation student herself and identifies as a first generation professional. She grew up in Novato, CA and attended the University of California, Merced for a B.A in Sociology and Sacramento State for a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, with the emphasis in Higher Educational Leadership. Different populations of students who Jeni has supported through her career are first generation, undocumented, former foster/homeless youth, and other identities. Jeni enjoys supporting students in different capacities in order to help navigate barriers that may occur during their time in and out of the university. In her free time, she likes to go on hikes, attend concerts, and spend time with her dog.
