Darixa Varela Medrano

Darixa is a fourth-year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior (NPB) student from San Francisco. While exploring her path towards medicine, she fell in love with the field of nutrition! She has worked as an intern for the NUT 10 course in partnership with the UCD Redwood SEED Scholars Program, and later gained hands-on experience with Teaching Kitchen as a College Corps fellow. When she isn't teaching at the Food Innovation Lab, you can spot her around campus with a chai latte in hand, singing her lungs out at concerts, or side questing with friends!
